Who is the Connected Child?

Connected Child provides early intervention and educational services to children with needs, between the age of 3 to 12 years old.

We believe in developing connections, building meaningful relationships & functional skills that serve the child and his family.

The Connected Child is the child who is connected to himself, to the people around him, and to the community & environment he lives in.

Connected Self –
A child who is attuned & connected to his needs.
A child who has appropriate skills & means to express & meet his needs.

Areas of focus include expressive communication, self or co-regulation, sensory-motor skills, functional literacy & numeracy skills.

Connected to Others –
A child who has meaningful relationships with the people in his life.
A child who enjoys interacting with his family, friends & who understands and manages social relationships.

Areas of focus include social skills, social communication, school readiness skills & friendship skills.

Connected to the Community –
A child who has access to the community he lives in, from the playground, the shopping centre, to the kindergarten, church or temple he attends.

Areas of focus include navigation skills, social skills, social communication, functional literacy & numeracy skills. We also welcome and look forward to collaboration & partnerships.
